Rooftop bar at the Angad Arts Hotel opens for summer season

The ART Bar, the iconic rooftop bar at the Angad Arts Hotel , announced its  official opening with a full schedule of public events for the season. The hotel expects for this to be its biggest summer yet with a full schedule of events, live music and DJ’s, alongside a new food and beverage menu from the culinary team.

“We have been planning for summer at ART Bar since this time last year and have revamped to provide guests with regular, exciting events so that we can be the rooftop to visit this year in St. Louis,” says Stacey Howlett, General Manager of Angad Arts Hotel. “We’re looking forward to a future of exciting happenings throughout the hotel, aimed to inspire and foster a fun space for guests.”

ART Bar opens with a new menu of elevated bites from Executive Chef Karl Schloz, including salads, flatbreads, cheese and charcuterie platters, tacos, and more, along with signature cocktails and mocktails (see menu) that play to the season with ingredients such as passion fruit, guava, fresh herbs and more.

ART Bar will offer new programming and events monthly, below is a round-up of entertainment and events that launch in May and June:

Live music with DJ Makossa

  • Every Thursday | 7- 10 p.m.:  DJ Makossa will spin in a lively, upbeat atmosphere every Thursday from 7 – 10 p.m. starting Thursday, May 18.
  • Free to attend, food and beverage available for purchase

  • Every Thursday throughout the summer

Live Music with Kinfolks Presents

  • Every Saturday |  12 – 4 p.m.

  • Free to attend, food and beverage available for purchase

Silent Disco in the Sky

  • Friday, June 2 | 7-11 p.m.: This Silent Disco takes place 13 stories in the sky on Angad Arts Hotel’s rooftop terrace. Tickets are required and should be purchased in advance. Each ticket purchase includes glow-in-the-dark party favors, 2-channel disco headphones, and one signature cocktail.  Attendees choose between two live DJs playing throwback R&B and Top 40 picks. A full bar is available for drink purchases along with ART Bar’s complete menu.

Pride Month 90s-Themed Drag Brunch

  • Sunday, June 4 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Angad Arts Hotel celebrates Pride Month with the launch of ART Bar’s 90s Drag Brunch series in partnership with Metro Trans Umbrella Group and drag queen performer, Amazing Grace. The launch event on Sunday, June 4 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. starts a series of 90s-themed drag queen brunches throughout the summer (future dates to Each event includes 12 dynamic drag performances, a live DJ spinning 90s favorites, a brunch buffet, one complimentary mimosa or mocktail, 90s themed photo opportunities, and giveaways throughout the event. Guests can also purchase all-you-can-drink packages on-site.

  • Launch brunch, Sunday, June 4 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Pints & Pups with Pizza Politano & 4 Hands Brewing Company

  • Thursday, June 8 | 5 – 9 p.m.: The dog-loving hotel in Grand Center Arts District will host a Fido-friendly event on the Skyview Terrace rooftop space (located at ART Bar) on Thursday, June 8 from 5 – 9 p.m. The pop-up features Neapolitan pizzas by Pizza Politano, craft beer tastings from 4 Hands Brewing Company  cocktail samples from 1220 Artisan Spirits , and a vast skyline backdrop for pup photos and selfies with your furry four-legged friend (photos). All attendees will be entered to win a “Summer Fun Gift Basket” with surprise gifts for both humans and pooches. Angad Arts Hotel is a participant of Bark n Sniff’s “Digital Dog Passport” and encourages all dog lovers to explore the hotel’s public spaces, like the newly opened 8th Biannual Exhibit on the 12th floor. Food and additional beverages will be available for purchase on-site.
